Products
DCS provides hardware lens data recording devices. All products are sold as described without any additional customisation.
Ordering Process
- All sales are initiated through contact with DCS via phone or email.
- DCS will provide a quote based on the customer’s requirements.
- Upon acceptance of the quote, DCS will issue an invoice for the agreed amount.
Pricing and Payment
- Prices are quoted and invoiced in the customer’s local currency where possible.
- Value Added Tax is charged on UK sales at the prevailing rate on the value of the invoice. VAT will not be charged to non-UK companies.
- Payment is required before shipping for new customers.
- At DCS’s discretion, repeat customers may be offered 30-day net payment terms.
- The only accepted payment method is bank transfer.
- Late Payment Penalties:
- In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, if a customer fails to make any payment on the due date, DCS reserves the right to charge interest on the overdue amount. The interest rate will be calculated at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate from the due date until the date of payment.
- DCS may also charge a fixed sum for the cost of recovering a late commercial payment. The fixed sums are as follows:
- £40 for debts up to £999.99
- £70 for debts between £1,000 and £9,999.99
- £100 for debts of £10,000 or more
- Additionally, DCS reserves the right to claim any reasonable costs incurred in recovering the debt that exceed the fixed sums listed above.
- Cancellation of Sale for Unshipped Products:
- If a customer fails to make any payment before the products are shipped, the sale will be cancelled, and the customer will be notified accordingly.
- Late Payment Fees for NET30 Customers:
- For customers offered NET30 terms who have received their products, the above late payment penalties will apply if payment is not made within the 30-day term.

Shipping
- Products will be shipped to the address provided by the customer.
- Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon dispatch from DCS.
- For international sales, the customer is responsible for any local taxes, customs duties, or fees.
Warranty
- All products come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
- The “educational package” comes with an extended 24-month warranty.
- The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
- The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or unauthorised modifications.
Returns and Refunds
- Customers have the right to return products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, in accordance with UK consumer law.
- Returns must be in saleable condition and in original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is defective.
- DCS reserves the right to refuse returns of products that have been damaged after receipt.
Firmware Updates
- DCS provides firmware updates for its products.
- Customers can subscribe to receive automated emails about new firmware by contacting support@dcs.film.
Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the products, including patents, designs, and trademarks, remain the property of DCS.
- Customers acquire no right or license to use DCS’s intellectual property beyond the normal operation of the purchased product.

Compliance
- DCS products carry CE markings, indicating compliance with EU health and safety regulations.
- Wireless components in DCS devices are FCC approved.
Limitation of Liability
- DCS’s liability for any claim arising out of these Terms of Sale shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.
- DCS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
General
- These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- DCS reserves the right to update these Terms of Sale. Any changes will be communicated to customers and will apply to future purchases.
