Products
DCS provides hardware lens data recording devices. All products are sold as described without any additional customisation.

Ordering Process

1. All sales are initiated through contact with DCS via phone or email.
2. DCS will provide a quote based on the customer’s requirements.
3. Upon acceptance of the quote, DCS will issue an invoice for the agreed amount.

Pricing and Payment

1. Prices are quoted and invoiced in the customer’s local currency where possible. 
2. Value Added Tax is charged on UK sales at the prevailing rate on the value of the invoice. VAT will not be charged to non-UK companies.
3. Payment is required before shipping for new customers.
4. At DCS’s discretion, repeat customers may be offered 30-day net payment terms.
5. The only accepted payment method is bank transfer.
6. Late Payment Penalties:
   1. In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, if a customer fails to make any payment on the due date, DCS reserves the right to charge interest on the overdue amount. The interest rate will be calculated at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate from the due date until the date of payment.
   2. DCS may also charge a fixed sum for the cost of recovering a late commercial payment. The fixed sums are as follows:
      1. £40 for debts up to £999.99
      2. £70 for debts between £1,000 and £9,999.99
      3. £100 for debts of £10,000 or more
   3. Additionally, DCS reserves the right to claim any reasonable costs incurred in recovering the debt that exceed the fixed sums listed above.
7. Cancellation of Sale for Unshipped Products:
   1. If a customer fails to make any payment before the products are shipped, the sale will be cancelled, and the customer will be notified accordingly.
8. Late Payment Fees for NET30 Customers:
   1. For customers offered NET30 terms who have received their products, the above late payment penalties will apply if payment is not made within the 30-day term.
      

Shipping

1. Products will be shipped to the address provided by the customer.
2. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon dispatch from DCS.
3. For international sales, the customer is responsible for any local taxes, customs duties, or fees.

Warranty

1. All products come with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
2. The “educational package” comes with an extended 24-month warranty.
3. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
4. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or unauthorised modifications.

Returns and Refunds

1. Customers have the right to return products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, in accordance with UK consumer law.
2. Returns must be in saleable condition and in original packaging.
3. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the product is defective.
4. DCS reserves the right to refuse returns of products that have been damaged after receipt.

Firmware Updates

1. DCS provides firmware updates for its products.
2. Customers can subscribe to receive automated emails about new firmware by contacting support@dcs.film.
   

Intellectual Property

1. All intellectual property rights in the products, including patents, designs, and trademarks, remain the property of DCS.
2. Customers acquire no right or license to use DCS’s intellectual property beyond the normal operation of the purchased product.

Compliance

1. DCS products carry CE markings, indicating compliance with EU health and safety regulations.
2. Wireless components in DCS devices are FCC approved.

Limitation of Liability

1. DCS’s liability for any claim arising out of these Terms of Sale shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.
2. DCS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

General

1. These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
3. DCS reserves the right to update these Terms of Sale. Any changes will be communicated to customers and will apply to future purchases.
