DCS will be in Los Angeles during SIGGRAPH week, with a focus on lens metadata, practical production workflows, and connecting with crews, studios and technology teams working across production and post.
Gary Keller, General Manager of DCS, will be available for meetings from 19–21 July 2026 to discuss Lens Link, the LDT ecosystem, and the wider role of reliable lens metadata in VFX, virtual production and post-production workflows.
Lens Link and LDT hands-on seminar
During SIGGRAPH week, DCS is planning an in-person Lens Link / LDT seminar for DITs, 1st ACs and production crew in LA.
The session is being developed as a hands-on show and tell, giving attendees the chance to see DCS products in a practical production context, ask questions, and understand how Lens Link and the LDT ecosystem can support better lens data workflows from set onwards.
The aim is to bring together crew members who are already working with lens metadata, as well as those who want to understand what tools are available, how they fit into real production environments, and when to ask for them on a show.

Lens metadata survey at ASWF Open Source Days
DCS will also be presenting at ASWF Open Source Days 2026 as part of the lightning talks programme.
Gary Keller will present “The State of Lens Metadata in VFX: An Open Survey of Where It Breaks” on Sunday 19 July 2026 at 12:20pm in the meeting rooms at J.W. Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.
The session will introduce DCS’s new industry survey on lens metadata in post-production and VFX. The survey is designed to understand where lens metadata is being lost, how often it reaches VFX teams in usable form, and what productions can do to improve the handoff from set to post.
The anonymised findings will contribute to The State of Lens Metadata in Post-Production and VFX, an annual benchmark report intended to help studios, supervisors, producers, pipeline teams and technology providers better understand where metadata workflows succeed, where they break down, and where improved practices are needed.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is open to anyone working with, relying on, or managing lens metadata across production, post-production, VFX and virtual production.
